The EndoCube mimics product temperature in a refrigeration unit and can realise between 10 – 30% savings on this load depending on use and how efficient the system is in the first place. The EndoCube can be fitted to the temperature sensor so that the fridge will display product temperature and not circulating air temperature. Alternatively, it can be fitted to the thermostat sensor, which controls the compressor resulting in a reduction in refrigeration cycles.
An IoT device has been developed for the EndoCube allowing Energy Managers to track savings, Managers and Business Owners to track temperatures and well as energy savings and Refrigeration sub-contractors to track maintenance required. A system of sensors feedbacks data to a multi-layers dashboard, with varying levels of access using IoT technology and principals.
I have been working in energy for the past 10 years. What drew me in is the fact I have been in business for over 25 years and started my first company doing EIA’ s - environmental impact assessment’s which became a grudge report once legally required in 1998. I wanted to work in a field where business would consider their impact on the environment, and their footprint/impact, whilst still producing what they needed but in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Energy efficiency allows a company to do just this and the benefit falls to the bottom line. Big business tends to do things that make financial sense. I think it is now a global imperative that we reduce carbon going into the atmosphere as Climate Change is very real these days and no longer something the scientists are predicting or talking about. If we can assist business to do this and benefit with the profits falling to the bottom line then we can create a win-win situation and make a difference in the world.
